Paul Foxcroft - Creative Director
Head of our creative output is Paul Foxcroft, an entertainment professional with 25 years of experience of creating, producing, writing and finessing comedy for the stage and screen.
Recently Paul has been developing comedy-drama projects and working as a Creative Consultant for Travis McElroy’s international gaming convention Champion’s Grove, as well as working as a Script Consultant for Playground Games.
Paul Foxcroft - Game Designer
Head of Game Design, Paul Foxcroft has worked with some giants in the industry. Working as a consultant for Playground Games, a writer for Wizards of the Coast, and a designer for MCDM - plus he worked as a creative consultant for D&D in a Castle, building interactive experiences for their guests.
His credits include Flee Mortals, Where Evil Lives and the core rules for Draw Steel for MCDM, Pig Trouble for Questing Time, the launch events for Adventures in the Forgotten Realms for Magic: The Gathering, and Spelljammer for Dungeons & Dragons. Oh, for the last four years he’s been working on Fable for Playground Games.
Paul Foxcroft - Script Consultant
Our Script Development Lead, Paul Foxcroft is a talented writer specialising in creating naturalistic dialogue and maximising the comic potential of a script.
Trained under Kevin McDonald (The Kids In The Hall) and David Tyler (Pozzitive Productions) Paul works on bringing clarity and pacing to scripts as well as working with the creative team to refine the work to peak funny. His focus is on making sure that every beat is serving the script - making it the funniest, scariest, or most heart-wrenching thing it can be.
He helps writers make the hard calls when it comes to edits and uses his extensive background in improvisation to develop solutions to when problems arise.
Paul Foxcroft - Comedian
Head of Comedy, Paul Foxcroft has performed stand-up comedy across the United Kingdom; his critically acclaimed shows Huge If True & Debut played to packed houses at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018 & 2019.
Paul also runs Questing Time, a live comedy show where he tricks comedians in to playing Dungeons & Dragons in front of a paying audience.
Paul pivoted to online hosting during the lockdown, including writing and running the Comic Relief Plays Dungeons & Dragons fundraisers and the D&D 2022 Holiday specials. Plus he wrote for shows like Hello America with Nish Kumar.
Paul Foxcroft - Improviser
Our Head of Spontaneity, Paul Foxcroft is an improvisation expert with over 20 years of experience. A world class improviser, he has performed improvised comedy all over the world. He has worked with legends like Scott Adsit (30Rock), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso) and Cariad Lloyd (Austentatious).
Paul has also spent a huge chunk of that time teaching improvisation with the graduates of his comedy training going on to great success. Some of his alumni include Scarlett Curtis (Feminists Don’tWear Pink), Rachel Parris (The Mash Report), Sophia DiMartino (Loki) and many more!
He currently runs Improv North, a new improvisation school based in Manchester that’s teaching classic Chicago style improv around the north of England.
Paul Foxcroft - Actor
Paul Foxcroft is an accomplished actor with credits in a wide range of TV and stage works, not limited to Ted Lasso (Apple TV), Brassic (Sky) Michael McIntyre’s Big Show (Hungry Bear), Drifters (E4) and a panoply of commercials and short films including Open House, directed by Kate Herron and Molly Naylor’s Callback alongside Sara Pascoe and Marcus Brigstocke.
